Kontron Canada is looking for a Key Account Manager (Canadian market) who will focus on growing sales of embedded systems, technology solutions and servers in a variety of sectors, including medical, defense, transportation and communications.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:

 

  • Sales Essentials: Drive rapid sales growth, secure design wins, and expand bookings and revenue;
  • Development and Execution of Sales Strategy: Create and implement a Territory Sales Plan designed to achieve revenue growth and market share gains within the Canadian market and to multiple industries;
  • Territories Covered: Ontario, Quebec, Maritime (Eastern Canada);
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships within key accounts to build trust, broaden brand awareness, and align Kontron’s solutions with customer needs;
  • Business Development and New Opportunities: Drive prospecting and new business development, focusing on incremental growth in design wins, bookings, and revenue;
  • Sales Process Ownership: Lead the entire sales process—from discovery and qualification to negotiation and closing deals—by positioning Kontron’s products and solutions as the best fit for customers’ unique needs;
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Kontron's CRM, including weekly sales activity reports, monthly pipeline reviews, and territory forecasts;
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and align with overall business goals;
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously analyze customer organizations, including their structure, strategies, funding sources, and key programs, to stay ahead of emerging market trends and customer demands;
  • All other related tasks.

  

YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience);
  • Experience: Ideally 5–10 years of experience in sales within high-tech markets, with a strong background in embedded computing technology. Track Record: Proven success in quota attainment and closing complex, high-value deals within a defined sales process;
  • Multi-Vertical Expertise: Deep knowledge and experience selling into the Industrial, Medical, Defense, Transportation and Communications markets, particularly focused on embedded systems, technology solutions, and servers;
  • Sales Expertise: Proven experience in business development, hunting for new opportunities, and achieving sales targets. Expertise in consultative sales, solution selling, and account management for Tier 1 & Tier 2 OEM customers, System Integrators, and potential end customers;
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to diverse audiences, including C-level executives;
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present, negotiate, and influence effectively at all organizational levels. Self-motivated, capable of working both independently and within a team environment to achieve sales targets and business objectives;
  • Travel Requirements: 30%–50% travel to customer sites and trade shows;
  • Ideal Location: Montreal but will consider others. Remote home-based and working at Kontron Canada head quarter, Boisbriand;
  • Languages: French and English (spoken and written) required to communicate with customers in Canada and colleagues in the U.S.;
